All skylords live in the Skyhold. The skyhold is a floating self-supplying island.
The skylords earn their goggles when they learn how to fly. in order to fly, superior Skylords mentor and test the younger skylords and train them to be skilled flyers. Goggles can look however you want them to.

most skylord's goggles are multipurpose, working to keep the air out of their face as well as protecting them from dangerous chemicals and other mechanical disadvantages.

Skylords need their tails and wings to fly. If a skylord is born without wings or a tail, it's considered a hindrance and they are sent down to the land far below to either die or be adopted. If they don't have a tail, they can't fly but might be able to glide slightly. If they lose their tail or wings after already had gaining their goggles and are a respected figure, they can be cared for by another kind of their species.

Skylords also have a natural sense of mechanics. They can learn and earn a talent for machines and their island is covered in advanced technology that makes living in such a small area much more easier.

Skylords who can fly can leave the island whenever they want.

if there are wars, the Skylords can manufacture war planes. 


All the specifics (color, tail, tufts, wings) can be varied slightly.

-the colors of a single Skylord are limited to color types [black, red, blonde, and red.]
-only a single pair of colors can be used
